So many of today’s pet owners, fashion is extended to their pets. The fact of the matter is this fashion line for our four legged friends is a multimillion dollar a year business! From scarves to hats, from rhinestone collars and leashes many pets are dressed better than some of their owners.
I have to omit, on the small pets some of the attire can be quiet cute. Many in Hollywood would not have their furry friend step out of the house without making a fashion statement, Paris Hilton for instance. But at the end of the day, are their pets comfortable or even care?
The most popular holiday is Halloween for these pet dressers and I’m sure you have seen many of these costumes at your local Wal-Mart or PetSmart. And these outfits are not cheap either! Many of the costumes range anywhere from $10 to $30 or more and will not be worn much over 1 to 2 times at the most. Yes they can be very cute and sometimes funny when they are trying to walk around with booties one.
The little dachshund in this picture doesn’t look like they are to thrilled to be dressed in the fireman outfit but is as cute as it can be. I have a suggestion! Instead of buying clothes for your pet, with the exception of sweaters for winter, why not take that money you were going to spend on your precious pet and donate it to a local animal shelter in your pets’ name?
